Run Integration Tests

Test your Lemonway integration in sandbox and run a live penny test before processing payments.

Test your Lemonway integration in the sandbox environment before you process live payments.

A sandbox is a separate environment for testing and development. You can continue using it after you go live.

Before you start

  • Get your sandbox URL from your Client Implementation Manager
  • Use the sandbox URL in the format https://sb-bo.lemonway.com/[partner-name]
  • Use the production URL in the format https://dashboard.lemonway.com/[partner-name]
  • Allowlist the static IP address from which you access Lemonway
info

Your sandbox environment remains active after you go live, so you can use it for ongoing integration testing.

Testing your integration

  1. Sign in to your sandbox environment using the URL that Lemonway provides.
  2. Test the payment methods that you plan to offer.
  3. Verify that your static IP address is allowlisted for the test environment.
  4. Run a live penny test before you begin processing live payments.

Testing payment methods

You can test incoming funds with the following payment methods:

  • Bank card
  • Direct debit (SDD mandate)
  • Cheque (simulated entry)
  • Transfer (simulated entry)
  • PayPal
  • Pay by Bank

Allowlisting an IP address in the test environment

An allowlisted IP address is authorized to access a specific network. Allowlisting works the same way in sandbox and production.

  1. Select Configuration in the Dashboard.
  2. Select IP address whitelist.
  3. Select Whitelist an IP address +.
  4. Enter the required information in the form.
  5. Select Add +.

Running a live penny test

Run a penny test (a small-value transaction) after your live environment is ready and before you process customer payments. Use it to validate payment methods or flows that you could not test in sandbox.

info

Run a complete end-to-end workflow regularly. Contact your Implementation Manager if you need help validating a flow.
