A foundation is a type of non-profit organization established to support charitable, educational, religious, or other activities serving the public good. Foundations typically derive their funds from an individual, family, or corporation, and their primary purpose is to make grants or provide support to other organizations or individuals to further their philanthropic goals.
Documents Required
Simple Foundation
To open a payment account for a simple foundation, the following documents are required:

Identification Document:
A valid identification document of the natural person representing the foundation:- Identity card (both sides)
- Passport
- Residence permit (both sides)
- Driver’s license (card format, both sides)

Authorization Document:
An official document certifying that the identified natural person is authorized to represent the foundation and manage the payment account. -
JOAFE Listing:
The issue of the JOAFE for France (Official Journal of Associations & Corporate Foundations) listing the foundation that wishes to hold the payment account.
Crowdfunding Only
- A document describing the project in detail if the account holder is the project leader.
Foundation under the Aegis of a Sheltering Foundation
To open a payment account for a foundation under the aegis of a sheltering foundation, the following documents are required:

Identification Document:
A valid identification document of the natural person representing the foundation:- Identity card (both sides)
- Passport
- Residence permit (both sides)
- Driver’s license (card format, both sides)

JOAFE Listing:
The issue of the JOAFE for France (Official Journal of Associations & Corporate Foundations) listing the sheltering foundation. -
Articles of Association:
The dated and signed Articles of Association of the sheltering foundation. -
Agreement:
The agreement dated and signed between the sheltered foundation and the sheltering foundation. -
Meeting Minutes:
A copy of the minutes from the last general meeting or the list of board members of the sheltered foundation, issued within the last 12 months.
Crowdfunding Partners Only
- A document describing the project in detail if the account holder is the project leader.
