Use this endpoint to associate an Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) with a legal payment account. All legal entities must supply UBO information to comply with AML/CTF regulations.

Key points:

• A UBO is any natural person who directly or indirectly owns > 25% of shares or voting rights, or otherwise exercises significant control over the entity.
• Under Article 30 of EU Directive 2015/843, companies established in the EEA/EU must register and maintain UBO data with the central registry.
• Similar UBO‑disclosure requirements may apply outside the EU.
• If the Legal Representative also qualifies as a UBO, you may indicate this when creating or updating the legal account.
